Republican candidate for the US presidential elections Donald Trump pledged to “end Joe Biden’s war on cryptocurrencies” at a rally in Racine, Wisconsin, IL June 18th.

Trump said he aims to “ensure that the future of cryptocurrencies and the future of Bitcoin it will be made in America.” He warned that other countries will seize the opportunity if the United States does not.

Otherwise, Trump’s campaign has tested Biden’s economic policy beyond cryptocurrencies. In a statement to ReutersTrump campaign spokeswoman Anna Kelly described “higher prices, lower wages and a stalled manufacturing industry” under Biden’s leadership.

Reuters noted that the city where the demonstration took place is the site of a controversial Foxconn factory. During his first term, Trump attributed the construction of the factory to his pro-manufacturing policies, but the site ultimately failed to provide the expected number of jobs.

Trump said his crypto strategy will “create opportunities for young people.”

Trump’s previous crypto promises

Trump’s latest pro-crypto promises follow other similar statements. ON May 8thTrump called for support from the crypto community, stating, “If you’re for crypto, you better vote for Trump.”

Later 7 June, pledged to end the “Biden-Gensler crusade against cryptocurrencies.” Reference is made to Trump’s statement Gary Genslerthe SEC chairman appointed by the Biden administration.

ON June 12thTrump has said he intends to have the United States mine all remaining Bitcoin and said such a policy would help the country build energy dominance.

Biden approaches uncertainly

Given Trump’s more vocal support for the cryptocurrency industry, Biden’s competing campaign may be moving away from his supposedly tough stance on the industry.

Biden’s campaign is reportedly seeks input by members of the cryptocurrency industry to take an awareness-raising approach. And, following that of Trump previous decision to accept cryptocurrency via CoinBase Trade, Biden’s campaign it may soon do the same.

However, the Biden campaign has neither adopted nor confirmed either course of action. So far only anonymous sources have reported the alleged plans.
