Ethereum co-founder is confident Cardano will overthrow Bitcoin to become the world’s largest cryptocurrency: ‘There’s nothing that can compete with it’
Cardano Founder of ADA/USD Charles Hoskinson expressed confidence that the ecosystem’s native currency will reverse Bitcoin BTC/USD will become the world’s largest cryptocurrency in the future.
What happened: During a interview with Altcoin Daily Tuesday, Hoskinson, who was also an early founder of Ethereum ETH/USD, recalled its bold 2023 prediction Rare Evo conference.
When asked to answer when he would see this happening, Hoskinson diplomatically said: “If we can do what I say, there is no way we can beat Cardano.”
“Nothing can compete with him and, in the end, he lived up to what Satoshi (Nakamoto) started,” the entrepreneur added.
Hoskinson indirectly called Cardano a “growth engine” that has continually absorbed technology from its competitors and continued to add people to its fray.

The Cardano founder also criticized the toxic wave of maximalism that has engulfed the Bitcoin ecosystem over the past decade, a departure from the ethos that prevailed when he was involved in the asset’s development.
Why is this important: Hoskinson’s bullish sentiment comes despite the tenth largest cryptocurrency’s lackluster growth this year.
ADA has plunged 35% since the start of the year, while Bitcoin has surged 64% in the same time.
When it comes to cryptocurrency policies in the United States, Hoskinson is a fervent critic of Joe Biden administration, accusing him of actively seeking to “destroy the US cryptocurrency industry” and claiming that “a vote for Biden is a vote against the industry”.
Price action: At the time of writing, ADA was trading at $0.3918, up 1.02% in the last 24 hours, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
